Reruns and commercials
I will use it in a more limited way than I previously have. Before it was my number one channel and app and now I'm seeking alternatives due to the constant repetition of content.
There is no season 2 of any of the good shows. They rework old content and put it as new on similar shows.
All you see is more and more reruns of shows. The app has way more commercials than content. Most of the commercials are for the other discovery channel shows that they try to shove down our throat.
Food shows are most common ones now. I don't want to see the same thing over and over for the money I pay for this service.

- It has went completely downhill

I want pit bulls & parolees off of my featured list.
Pit Bulls & Parolees should have been completely taken off Discovery after the episode where the old man was crying and begging the city council not to let Torres buy the property next to him and completely diminish his property value that he worked his whole life to get. Whoever is the head of Discovery must be a monster not to care about this gross injustice and complete lack of morals.

I have been watching ID Discovery for 20 years now. Since the beginning of 2025, everything changed.
I think ID Discovery was bought out or taken over, and whomever took over seems to be hell-bent on turning this network into a blazing dumpster fire. It sucks. WTF are you doing here??? Where are all of the great shows and new seasons?
To make matters worse, you seem to think that your viewers are ignorant to buy into your re-airing old shows under new titles, thinking we won't see what you are doing.
You suck! Bring back the glory days, the new seasons of ID originals.

But... I am starting to tune away from the channel altogether due to the commercials.
Never in my life have I ground my teeth like Yosemite Sam every time it is a commercial break. The same commercials play over and over. Over and over. Over and over --- over and over.
And just when I thought it might change a week later, it is the same commercials yet again. The same goes a month later. Even half a year later. They even go back to older commercials from years ago.
The actors on them must be old and in retirement by now. Why is it like this? It is a form of torture that would make a terrorist talk. The commercials go like this: Haribo Gold Bears, Rio Mare tuna, Ojo Casino, Kevin and Sara insurance coverage, Air Wick Vibrant, Bums Anusol wipes, L'Oreal with Gillian Anderson, Betano Casino, Cover Direct life insurance.
The producers themselves should sit through a day of watching this to see what it feels like. I am telling you, this is a formula to chase viewers away.
For the love of documentaries, stop this insanity! I feel like it is for the purpose of brainwashing.

I've been a customer of ID Discovery for over a year, and I just canceled my subscription. Evil Lives Here was my favorite series.
However, they've seen fit this year to make it unavailable at the original air time, which is Sunday at 9 PM EST. Also, new shows of other crime series aren't well-produced shows on ID. They're slow with productions or have canceled them altogether. Who wants to watch Mean Girl Murders, A Killer Among Friends, or Did the Killer Call?
The reruns alongside poorly produced shows, ugh.
What happened to Murder in the Heartland and anything with Joe Kenda narration or Friday Night Lights, which were all well-produced? I'm bidding this stream farewell.

The format of this channel has gone to *** Rerun, rerun, rerun, and then another rerun. It's sickening how despicable this channel has gotten!
You used to be a good channel to watch. I'm planning on leaving and trying to find an alternative!

Like the shows on ID. But would you please stop running banners at the bottom of the screen?
Sometimes the show has text at the bottom of the screen as what's being said is inaudible, and blocking what's being said is impossible to follow.
Seems unnecessary. You have plenty of opportunities to promote other shows during commercial breaks.

Every 20 minutes I have sit and watch commercials about MAX , or even worse.. commercials about gaming!!!

The last time I checked, I live in the United States where English is the official language, yet they are playing tons of commercials on ID that nobody can understand unless they are from a different country. Why are they playing so many commercials that nobody can understand unless they speak Spanish? It's so aggravating!

ID is going to take whatever advertisers they can get. They don’t have the luxury of being selective and having to turn advertisers away because their time slots are full and have a waiting list.
As for the older commercials/actors that is at the respective company’s request. Actors/spokespersons get paid in 6 month renewable blocks per ad. After one year they stop collecting royalties. (Depending on contract).
Matthew McConnaughey’s Lincoln commercial from ten years ago is cheap because he gets no royalties. Serena Williams debuted this Spring for Lincoln and is in the middle of her block and does receive them.
